Toshiba Introduces the EQP Global® 661 Motor Series

Built for the Toughest Air-To-Air Heat Exchanger Applications

HOUSTON, TX – March 5, 2025 – Toshiba introduces the new EQP Global® 661 motor, specifically designed for constant speed or inverter duty air-to-air heat exchanger applications found in petrochemical and chemical processing environments. This totally enclosed fan cooled motor meets API 661 specification and offers a 50,000-hour bearing life for belted applications. Built to meet or exceed IEEE® Std. 841-2021 requirements, it also features an IP56-rated enclosure and a corrosion-resistant severe duty epoxy paint system, allowing it to withstand demanding operating conditions, including 100% humidity.

• Inverter Duty: 60:1 VT, 20:1 CT
• 1.15 Service Factor

• Heavy Duty Anti-friction 300 Series Roller Bearing DE
• Insulated Bearings on DE & ODE

Construction:
• 4140 Shaft Steel
• Vertical Lifting Provisions for Shaft Up or Down Mounting
• Cast Iron Conduit Box, Frame & Bearing Brackets
• Multiple Drain Provisions in Frame, Bearing Brackets & Terminal Box

Protection:
• Umbrella Rain Slinger (DE) & Labyrinth Seals (DE & ODE)
• Gasket Sealant Between Frame & Brackets
• Corrosive-Resistant Severe Duty Paint System
• IP56 (100% Humidity-Protected)
